I have been training with Julie for nearly 4 years now. Her approach is a unique combination of sweet, gentle, and very firm. Make no mistake — her workouts are very challenging yet her approach is so cheerful and supportive, you barely know how hard you’re working. She helped me break through anxiety in running and swimming by emphasizing a “do what works for you” approach. I highly recommend her as a coach and a personal trainer!
Just finished two 6 week blocks of training with Julie at RPM following Max Testa’s program. As a competitive cyclist, coming out of the winter with a strong base is critical. I’m three weeks into the race season and at the strongest point I’ve been in my cycling career. Thanks to Julie and Max for getting me through the winter and prepared for the race season!
Every workout with Julie is great. She’s always got unique exercises that focus on different muscle groups or she can keep the pain coming and focus on specific areas where you want/need improvement. Strength training, cardio, floor work, she’s got it covered. Since starting personal training with Julie last November, I’ve lost weight, improved my cardio, strengthened my core and totally changed my outlook on exercise.
I have cycled since 1985 and have done many metric centuries and several 100 mile rides. In all the years I have cycled I found training with a coach makes a huge difference in preparing me for a century. Just riding by myself day in and day out is not enough. I need a training plan and a coach to support me and help me become stronger on the bike. Julie has coached me for over a year and has helped me to be much stronger on the bike. I can see my fitness grow by having more strength on the bike and viewing my resting heart rate getting lower and lower. It has been always been a real pleasure working with Julie. I’m glad I found her.
